Standard Uyghur Curriculum
Description
The Standard Uyghur Curriculum (SUC) at first aimed to create a comprehensive and standardised Uyghur language curriculum tailored for Uyghur children in the diaspora community.
Uyghur language schools face challenges in finding relevant teaching materials, creating homework exercises and effectively examining children’s Uyghur proficiency. The SUC planned to create a comprehensive grade 1-10 curriculum spanning the ages 5-15. This would have consisted of textbooks, exercise books and examinations for each grade level, enabling Uyghur language schools to deliver a comprehensive and consistent education.
However, considering the similar work being conducted by other Uyghur groups in the diaspora since 2020, we have decided to embark on a new journey rather than compete with those who have the same aims.
Our New Focus
We have two avenues we would like to pursue: 1) Exercise books and other supplementary materials, such as flash card or games. 2) An online self-learning course.

Please reach out to us if you are interested in forming a team to embark on this journey! This project is supported by community funding.
